PRODUCT: Gio Beetroot Powder
25-30 gm / 4-5 tsp Gio Beetroot Powder
100-150 ml / 1 cup Milk
4-6 tsp Ghee
45-50 gm / 1-2 tbsp Sugar
Pinch of powdered Cardamom (Ilaichi)
10-15 Chopped Cashews and Almonds for garnishing
In a pan combine Gio Beetroot powder and milk.
On a low to medium flame, bring whole mixture to boil and then simmer.
While simmering, keep on stirring the mixture in between and let it cook for some time.
When the milk has 75% reduced, add ghee, sugar and powdered cardamom to the mixture.
Cook well and continue to simmer while stirring the mixture in between.
Turn of the gas when milk is completely evaporated and the mixture leaves the surface of pan.
Serve Beetroot Halwa hot, warm or cold and garnish it with chopped dry fruits.
